No, not that #2. It's just my second blog.
So, other than the occasional morning sickness (though mine tends to be right at bed time), things have been going well. I'm over most of my smell issues. I can eat hot dogs again--not that I was missing them much, but it sure makes it harder to walk into Target, which is, like, my most favorite store!--but I still cannot stand bell peppers, onions, or any vegetable other than lettuce, cucumber, and carrots. At least I can eat salads!
I had my first sonogram on Friday, August 1, at 10 weeks. The doctor searched and searched, but couldn't find a heart beat. BUT she did assure me that, at 10 weeks, it's still early and completely normal to not hear anything. I have a follow-up appointment on Wednesday, August 13. Hopefully I'll hear a heart beat then!
And for anyone who knows us, we like to buy cars. So, with me being pregnant, we had to go look for a car that would be more family-friendly. Especially since Taylor is also getting to the age where she wants to have friends over. The Civic doesn't accommodate crowds very well.
So we added an Expedition (Ford) to the vehicle collection. Now that we have two Fords, I think I can safely say I'm a Ford girl. I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not, but we'll just say it is. What's really sad--I got so excited to see the LATCH (a car seat attachment system that's an alternate to using the seat belt) on ALL 3 seating positions in the back seat. And there's two more in the very back seat! WOW!
I guess that's what I get when I do car seat installations for a living. Jon's already dreading what it's going to be like to go car seat shopping. I'll probably never find one that's got the features and design combination I want. And I'm going to want to make sure it fits in the car juuuuust right. Oh well, at least it's in the name of safety.
Well, my laptop battery is about dead. I suppose this is all for now. Stay tuned for more!

Welcoming to blogging-dom. Sounds like so much stuff is going on for you, that is exciting. March 1 is my birthday, so that is a perfect day for your baby to be born! We could not hear Liam's heartbeat for a very long time...almost 1/2 way through. So, don't worry too much (like I did!!). Our OB would do an ultrasound when we couldn't hear it because she knew I would freak out :o)
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!! Congrat's on the new car, I know how you feel about safety!!
Can't wait to read more about what is going on!
Delaney, Chad and Pilar went thru 3 different car seats before they found one that fit their car just right so have fun shopping. Lynn
