(Answer to the Poll: Delaney's favorite food right now is APPLES!!!)
Well, I had my follow-up glucose test (yes, I fasted so it wasn't a wasted trip). THAT is a long time to sit in a doctor's office. After drinking a drink that resembled gritty fruit punch flavored syrup (think the texture of Delsym cough syrup), I got poked with a needle four times so they could draw my blood. The only nice thing about sitting there was that I got a good chance to work on the stocking I'm cross-stitching for Taylor for Christmas.
I didn't even have to wait a whole day to hear the results. My doctor called me the same afternoon and, in a very somber voice, told me that my tests all came back normal and that I have nothing to worry about. She's got a great sense of humor! It was a HUGE relief to hear that.
I'm still waiting for my belly button to pop out--I'm thinking at this point, it may not happen since I had such an extreme "inny" before. But that's just a minor detail considering that--TODAY--I got to see my son kick me from the inside! He's getting big enough that I can stare at my belly and watch him make my belly jolt. And he's quite the kicker...and I know it's only going to get worse! He particularly likes to pummel my bladder.
Being in the car for 8 hours (almost) straight over the weekend, and going for a 16 hour car ride one way tomorrow should be interesting. After I sit in the same position for a while, I think he gets tired of it. He most certainly seems to let me know!
Well, if you're reading this and you either live in SLO, or you're going to Terri's house for Thanksgiving, I'll see you soon. For the rest of you...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
